GöteborgsOperan was inaugurated in 1994 and is located at Lilla bommen in Gothenburg harbor. It houses opera, modern dance, musical and concert under one roof. When architect Jan Izikowitz designed the house, he drew inspiration from the opera world. But also in the magnificent river landscape around Gothenburg harbor. Silhouettes of hulls, wind-filled sails and bridges are visible in the building’s architecture.
